Member Provisions


  • Membership of Cobhams Sports and Social Club (CSSC): CMB members are required to join CSSC after a probationary period. Price at Jan 2024 is £43 Single, £60 Family.
  • Membership of Archery GB (AGB): All members of CMB must be affiliated to AGB unless involved in a beginners’ course or “have-a-go” session.
  • Membership of Grand Western Archery Society (GWAS): All members of CMB must be affiliated to GWAS unless involved in a beginners’ course or “have-a-go” session.
  • Membership of Dorset and Wiltshire Archery Association (DWAA): All members of CMB must be affiliated to DWAA unless involved in a beginners’ course or “have-a-go” session.
  • Rules: Every member shall be bound to further the objectives of CMB and shall observe these Rules and those of the DWAA, the GWAS and the AGB. CMB rules are encapsulated in the club constitution, a copy of which each new member should be provided with on joining. A copy can be requested at any time.
  • Applications for Membership: An application for membership shall be made in writing to the Secretary of CMB and shall be accompanied by the necessary fees. The application form shall contain all the data needed to complete Archery GB membership and other record forms. All applications for membership are subject to consideration by the CMB Committee after an initial induction session with one of our coaching staff. Applications received immediately from those successfully completing our beginners course are exempt from this requirement.
  • Probation: All new members will have a probation period of three months from the date they join.
  • Refunds: New members will have 30 days in which to confirm their membership and then only CMB membership fees will be refunded. Fees for AGB, GWAS and DWAA are non-refundable.
  • References: CMB reserve the right to contact your previous club or beginners course certificating club should they deem it necessary.

Data Protection & Disclaimer


  • General Data Protection Regulation May 2018: When you become a member of, or renew your membership with CMB, you will automatically be registered as a member of Archery GB (AGB) and the relevant region and county organisations. We will provide AGB with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you at https://agb.sport80.com which, amongst other things allows you to set and amend your privacy settings. If you have any questions about the continuing privacy of your personal data when it is shared with AGB, please contact gdpr@archerygb.org
  • CMB General Data Protection Regulation: The information held on each CMB member will be held by the Secretary and the Membership Officer. After a CMB member leaves, the data on that member may be held for a period of one year then it will be removed and destroyed. Any personal data will not be shared or given out without your permission.
