Welfare Officer
As the clubs welfare officer Roger plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being and safety of club members, particularly young athletes. Overseeing the implementation of safeguarding policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Responsibilities include providing confidential support, advice, and guidance to athletes and their families, addressing any welfare concerns or safeguarding issues that may arise. Our welfare officer also facilitates education and training initiatives on topics such as child protection and mental health awareness, fostering a safe and supportive environment where athletes can thrive both on and off the field.

Club Role Title: Welfare Officer
Responsibilities:
- Promote the well-being and safeguarding of all club members, with a particular focus on the welfare of young athletes.
- Provide confidential support and guidance to club members experiencing personal, emotional, or welfare-related issues.
- Act as a point of contact for members to raise concerns or seek assistance regarding welfare matters.
- Implement and oversee safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe and inclusive environment within the club.
- Liaise with external organizations, such as sports governing bodies and safeguarding authorities, to stay updated on best practices and regulations.
- Organize and deliver welfare training and awareness sessions for club members, coaches, and volunteers.
- Monitor and review welfare practices within the club, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Collaborate with club committees and relevant stakeholders to promote a culture of well-being and support within the club.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive welfare issues and information.
- Uphold the club’s values and ethos by prioritizing the welfare and safety of all members.
