Don’t worry if you’re not especially ‘sporty’ – you don’t have to be really fit or strong to be a great Archer, and it’s a popular sport for those with disabilities too.
Some of our Club members come regularly (twice a week), others with commitments elsewhere come when they can, although you will get better if you are able to shoot regularly.
We welcome those of all ages and abilities to ‘have a go’, this will give you an idea of whether Archery is for you.
Club membership is for those aged 12 yrs or over and there is no max. age limit.
Naturally there are strict rules and guidelines for Archery, designed to keep you, other Archers and spectators safe. Archery is actually one of the safest sports in the UK today.
Follow the rules and listen to your fellow Archers and the risk is minimal. All Club members have to learn basic safety in the Beginner’s Course.
