Club Role Title: Tournaments Organizer
Responsibilities:
- Tournament Planning and Coordination

- Develop a yearly schedule of tournaments in consultation with the club committee, ensuring alignment with other club activities and external events.
- Design tournament formats, rules, and schedules tailored to the needs of participants and the specific requirements of the sport.
- Coordinate venue bookings, equipment needs, and staffing requirements to support tournament activities.
- Event Execution

- Oversee the setup and smooth operation of tournaments, including registration, scoring, officiating, and prize distribution.
- Ensure all tournament activities are conducted according to the rules of the sport and the club’s policies.
- Address any issues or disputes during tournaments promptly and professionally.
- Participant Engagement

- Promote tournaments to club members and external participants through email, social media, and other communication channels.
- Provide clear and timely information to participants, including entry requirements, schedules, and rules.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants, spectators, and volunteers.
- Safety and Compliance

- Conduct risk assessments for tournaments and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all club policies, national governing body regulations, and local laws related to hosting events.
- Financial Management

- Work with the Treasurer or relevant club officers to prepare budgets for tournaments, manage expenses, and track income from entry fees or sponsorships.
- Secure sponsorships or partnerships to support tournaments when applicable.
- Reporting and Feedback

- Maintain accurate records of tournament participation, results, and financial performance.
- Prepare reports for the club committee, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Gather feedback from participants and spectators to refine future tournaments.
